BURNSVILLE, Minn. — If you’re not from the Midwest, it’s hard to understand, how someone could see a 20 degree day as a good thing, but after the week we’ve had, 20 degrees? We’ll take it.
At Buck Hill in Burnsville, it was a busy day on the slopes Friday.
Several skiers and snowboarders were out on the hill for the first time in more than a week.
Workers are expecting to see even more people at the hill this weekend.
They say all the available lesson times for Saturday and Sunday have already sold out.
Just a few miles down the road, it was also busy at the Bubble Barn in Burnsville.
Workers say they cleaned more than 200 cars Friday morning, and that was even before the noon rush hour started.
They say it was probably three times busier than a normal winter day.
I guess a lot of people were thinking the same thing, when it’s finally warm enough to wash your car, you better get it done, because you don’t know when the cold will come back again.
