COLUMBIA — A new car wash is coming to Gervais Street on the edge of Five Points, the latest growth example in the category.
Time to Shine Car Wash will build its newest location at 2006 Gervais St., according to an announcement from Trinity Partners commercial real estate, which handled the transaction.

The 1.88-acre site along Gervais for the carwash, across from the Station at Five Points student housing complex, was purchased for $1.6 million, with Williams Mills of Trinity handling the transaction for the buyer.
“Time to Shine Car Washes are known for their very nice facilities, and this new addition to Gervais Street will certainly add some much-needed color to the corridor,” Mills said.
It also will be adjacent to one of Columbia’s long-running car washes, Constan.
No opening date for the location was announced.
