Cumbria Fire and Rescue crews have hosted over 20 charity car washes to raise vital funds for the Ukraine appeal.
So far, the Service has raised over £10,000 for the appeal, with two further car washes yet to take place on Saturday, April 9 at Maryport and Millom Fire Stations.
Paul Milburn, Station Manager and Charity Liaison Lead said: “We would like to thank our local communities for supporting our car washes so far and helping to raise a fantastic amount to support Ukrainian people and communities.
“I’d encourage those local to Maryport and Millom to come along to their car washes on Saturday, April 9, to support such a good cause.
“The people of Ukraine continue to be in our thoughts during this time. We stand in solidarity as we do whatever we can to support all those affected by the devastating and tragic events.”
The Maryport Fire Station car wash will take place between 10am and 3pm and the Millom car wash will take place between 9am and 12:30pm.
