South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster stopped in Spartanburg County Thursday morning for the grand opening of a new 170,000-square-foot facility in Duncan.Magna Industrial, which is an automotive supplier, has been in operation for 65 years.This new facility will be home to 255 employees, with the chance of expanding to 400 in the near future.The governor said while having more industry coming to the state is great, having trained people to take these jobs is vital.”What we have to do is make sure to have workforces available. That means education, it means training, it means public safety, and it means a lot of training. But this is a great success story,” McMaster said.The Duncan facility will be the sixth facility for Magna Industrial in South Carolina.
