The Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles is spending tribute to the record of McLaren with a new racecar exhibition.
Started in 1963 by Bruce McLaren, the McLaren Motor Racing staff is the second-most thriving crew in System 1 record. The new exhibition explores this legacy by looking at scarce early McLaren racecars like the Cam-Am, Formula 1, Formulation 2, Formulation 5000 and USAC that all characteristic the automaker’s signature papaya-coloured paint scheme. A highlight of the exhibition is the 1967 McLaren M6A which is the first McLaren to consist of papaya-coloured paint. Also integrated in the exhibition are contemporary McLarens like the 2018 MCL33 Formula 1 racecar and extra.

Karges. “The racecars of Bruce McLaren and the business he launched have been at the forefront of style and performance for a long time. The McLaren exhibition at the Petersen Automotive Museum is established to open on Saturday, June 18.
